Support the Chows!

We want Paige, her mom and dad Glennys and Arnold, along with Brooke and Connor, to know that we’re here to support them. We also want the family to be able to stay together in Edmonton. To help them out, we’re having a walk for Paige followed by an ice cream social, silent auction and live entertainment at the school.

From 6 to 8 on Friday, September 16th, we hope you’ll join the rest of the community and make a donation to the Chows. If you can’t make the event you can still make a donation. Please drop off cash or cheques made out to A.E. Perry SCC to Principal Gatzke. A group of parents and teachers have organized this event, but we’re still looking for silent auction item donations, ice-cream scooping volunteers and more activities for the kids.

We appreciate offers to help. Please don't wait for someone to explicitly tell you what's needed. Please help by:
1) Donating cash, either through our online system or coordinated through nevindanielson@gmail.com

2) Donating food and silent auction items for Friday, September 16th between 6 and 8 pm at Perry School.
3) Sharing our efforts through your social networks. Please point people to http://paigescommunity.blogspot.com

Parents and community members of Regina are joining together to support Arnold and Glennys Chow. The Chow's eldest daughter, Paige, is currently battling a brain tumour and will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments in Edmonton beginning in August and continuing throughout September.

This is creating a significant financial strain on Arnold and Glennys. Despite having two other younger children, the family's long-term financial welfare is the last thing I believe the Chows should have to be thinking about right now.

To allow them to focus on family, Paige's health and to, in some small way, ease their pain, we're looking to help.

The Dr. A. E. Perry School Community Council, has generously made available Perry school for a fundraising night on Friday, September 16th. Donations from individuals and businesses to help us host the community are greatly appreciated.

As a parent, I'm heartbroken by circumstances that will alter the lives of Paige, Glennys, Arnold, Brooke and Connor. Please help minimize their struggle. Cash for the family, food and material for hosting a community meal or items for a silent auction are gratefully accepted.

Early Event Plans

We have confirmed the date of Friday, September 16th for an event at Perry School to share our support for the Chow family.

Early plans are to encourage food donations and to host a pay-as-you-wish evening for families to come for a social event. Donations of any type are gratefully accepted for use as silent auction items or door prizes.

We've heard from many individuals that feel that they can help with such an initiative. Please let us know, or reach out to your contacts, if you can help this event host a large number of participants.

Please don't forget that direct financial contributions are also appreciated. Please donate using the button below or contact paigechowfundraising@gmail.com if you wish to coordinate something.

We are friends and fellow parents with Arnold and Glennys Chow. Their daughter Paige is having significant health issues right now and we want to help.

We plan on creating an event for community, friends and families to come support the Chows.
